The adjective that means “exhibited or characterized by an unreasoned judgment” is biased (“a biased news story”). If someone is biased, they prefer one group of people to another, and behave unfairly as a result. You can also say that a process or system is biased. They gave us a biased report on immigration trends.

While biased can just mean having a preference for one thing over another, it also is synonymous with "prejudiced," and that prejudice can be taken to the extreme.
